The War Within
The real war has always been within.
Since the dawn of time, no matter what is occurring in the world, no matter what kind of violence or anti-divine rhetoric, no matter what battle or disaster that we face, at the end of the eon, it is we, each of us in our heart that must make peace within ourselves.
We must learn to integrate the shadow, cast out the hatred, and love this place, this body, this heart, these hands, in order to hone in on the frequency of harmony that we each so long for when we carry the sacred human flame.
We must learn to weep the tears of longing, endure the dark night over and over again, and allow this to ultimately wash us clean of the ignorance that we may amplify.
With the wonder, the open heart, the curiosity, and enthusiasm of a child, and the wisdom of a sage, we each walk the tightrope, and we each must begin to ask ourselves what is the legacy that I would leave my own kin? What is the mark that I would make upon this land? What is the world that I want to live within in the here and in the now, and am I building it, stone by stone, for myself?
How much have we waisted this abundant and sacred energy on battles that need not be waged?
How much have we contributed to the beauty of this realm?
How much have we vomited up the ugly, forcing it upon someone else, and then called this righteous?
How many fingers have we pointed in the wrong direction, rather than looking into the vacuum of our own broken hearts, and wondered why all that we see is death?
This world will continue on, and the Earth, the great mother, will survive us all.
But how will we survive with her?
This human legacy is birthed within the intimate and secret heart of every human soul, and the silent battles that we face behind closed doors, when the night is dark.
These are what they call the great initiations, cloaked in sorrow and beauty, love and longing, that each of us is alone responsible for.
